With decades of experience, the Stone Ridge Energy team possesses the necessary resources to operate and manage a successful production company in an effort to maximize production from each well. Furthermore, our oil and gas experience gives us a well-rounded perspective in advising owners and their financial institutions and lenders in navigating oil and gas assets in a difficult market.

Commitment to the Environment
We acquire and maximize existing oil and gas assets, which we believe reduces additional impact on the environment. We safely operate these existing assets until the end of their production lives when the assets are responsibly retired. A safe, clean, healthy environment must be part of oil and gas production.

Stone Ridge Energy’s leadership team has decades of experience in the energy industry possessing a wealth of knowledge relating to natural gas well operations, particularly in the Appalachian Basin.
Donald Supcoe III
Donald Supcoe, III is the Owner of Stone Ridge Energy. Mr. Supcoe previously served as Director of Land Operations and Permitting for Greylock Energy, LLC (and its predecessor: Energy Corporation of America). Prior to serving as the Director of Land Operations and Permitting, Mr. Supcoe held various management roles at Greylock Energy, LLC including: Operations/Permitting Manager and Completions/Marcellus Field Superintendent. During his time with Greylock Energy, Mr. Supcoe was instrumental in the permitting, drilling, completion, asset development, and operation of Greylock Energy’s Marcellus wells in Appalachia. Mr. Supcoe is a West Virginia native and a graduate of West Virginia University.
Bradford Daugherty
Bradford Daugherty manages surface operations at Stone Ridge Energy. Mr. Daugherty’s prior natural gas industry experience includes spending the last nine years in the Appalachian Basin, in roles with Patterson UTI, Savanna Energy Services, and Sidewinder Drilling. Mr. Daugherty has extensive down hole knowledge, which complements his role of managing surface operations. Mr. Daugherty has an excellent safety rating, has been Well Control Certified, and completed all OSHA required safety courses. Mr. Daugherty is a West Virginia native and has attended Glennville State College.
Donald Supcoe, Jr.
Donald Supcoe, Jr. is currently a senior advisor to Stone Ridge Energy. Mr. Supcoe graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration in 1978. He then received a Doctor of Jurisprudence Degree from West Virginia University College of Law in 1981. Upon graduation, Mr. Supcoe went to work at Energy Corporation of America (“ECA”) and its various subsidiaries for thirty-five years and initially retired in July 2016 as Executive Vice President and General Counsel. Mr. Supcoe was employed in various capacities with ECA or its various subsidiaries and served as Vice President of Mountaineer Gas Company, West Virginia’s largest local distribution company, from 1998 until ECA sold the same in 2000. Mr. Supcoe was active in the Independent Oil and Gas Association of West Virginia having served on the Board of that Association at four different times and was President for two terms. He was honored by that Association with its Gunslinger Award in 2011. The West Virginia Oil and Gas Festival also chose Mr. Supcoe as its Man of the Year in 2016 for his achievements in the oil and gas industry. Mr. Supcoe is presently a member of the Board of Mid-Atlantic Technology, Research & Innovation Center, Inc., a West Virginia not for profit corporation. In November of 2017, ECA sold substantially all of its oil and gas producing assets and Mr. Supcoe presently fills the part-time role of President for ECA assisting in the rationalization of assets and resolving outstanding matters.
